Forty Years Of Jerome Kern Music -- Marilyn Miller Immortalized Kern's music singing and dancing in the unforgettable "Sally" and "Sunny," produced in 1920 and 1925 respectively.Jerome Kern, dean of American composers, whose music is beloved by all the world, had his first song published on Dec. 27, 1904. 3ince then he has written the scores for 104 Broadway shows and movies, including "Roberta," "Sally,'' "Sunny" and the immortal Show Boat." In commemoration of forty years of Fern music all of musical America will observe "Jerome Fern Week" from Dec. 11 to 17, high spot of the week being a testimonial dinner to be given at New York's Waldorf Astoria on Dec. 12.
